Why Panasonic "stick" batteries?
These rugged batteries have been around for a long time and still remain popular, thanks to several good reasons:
- No "Memory effect" related problems
- Recharged in less than 2 hours
- Lowest cost (about $27)
Why do all our products include the battery status LEDs?
As with many other cameras, the GL-1 remaining battery charge indicator is automatically disabled when an external power source is connected. While using even high capacity external batteries, the camera person can only guess how much running time is left. Our smart voltage monitor circuit helps you not to be caught off guard while shooting a critical event. 11V, 11.5V and 12V LEDs give you a precise indication of the battery charge left.
Step down voltage converter specifications
The DC/DC converter is a very efficient pulse width modulated power supply, which provides for much longer run times than inexpensive linear regulators. It runs cool, as most of the battery charge is delivered to the camera, not dissipated as heat.
